Making a stick Christmas Tree is a very easy but effective craft project to undertake. A drill is required but materials should be either available free or at minimal cost.
Obviously the design can be scaled up or down to suit you needs and can have more branches if so desired. In the above example, the bottom branch is approx 15cm long.
Collect some sticks and cut your Christmas Tree 'branches'. Lay them out on a table and trim them until you are happy with the overall tree shape. Cut the tree trunk 'spacers' leaving one for the trunk base and one for the tip slightly longer.
Variations on the above include painting the branches or a pva glue and glitter 'fall of snow' looks good.
Obviously drilling and cutting should only be done by suitably competent persons. If making in these decorations as a group craft activity, it is far better to collect, cut and drill the materials in advance; the assembly of the tree together with some creative ideas for decorating it can easily occupy the group!
